Domaine Laroche Chablis Saint Martin 2018

One of my favorite estates is Domaine Laroche, one of the venerable estates of Burgundy with a lineage in Chablis that can be traced back 1000 years. That’s 4 zeros in that number….so after that long, you’d think they would have it down. They definitely do.

Their 2018 Chablis Saint Martin is a terrific white Burgundy, with a killer nose of citrus rind, quince and thyme that opens up to a dense, packed mid-palate of crunchy fruit. The finish is classic Chablis, chalky, mineral and fine. The lengthy acidity is what makes it so versatile at the table and provides structure for good aging potential.

If it was sourced an hour and change south, it would be double the price. Don’t miss a great deal on a classic White Burg.
