The ultimate Napa cult winery, BOND, is a partnership by two of the most revered men in American wine, Bill Harlan and his winemaker Bob Levy. The two were at Merryvale together, making wine using more than 50 vineyards in the Napa Valley. Eventually though, Bill sold, but along with Bob, they kept five vineyard sites for a new project, one that no one could have predicted would be as big as it has become.
In Bond, Bill Harlan is able to create some of the most amazing Cabernets in the world and truly America’s answer to Bordeaux. The wines are huge, this one in particular Robert Parker, Jr. called a “30 year wine”. James Suckling took it a step further though bestowing perfect marks on the wine and calling it the best single-vineyard wine from Bond in the phenomenal 2010 vintage in Napa. Considering some of the others fetch over $1000/btl, it’s pretty high praise. This wine is every bit deserving of it. Its perfection is abundantly clear.

100 Points, James Suckling
This is the best single-vineyard cabernet sauvignon-based red from Bond in this vintage, showing incredible purity of fruit and seamless tannins and refinement. Amazing. Better from 2018 on.

Anne Sery describes her Trousse Chemise Cabernets as an ode to the Left Bank and her winemaking roots. It’s a beautiful and fresh Cabernet with aromas that leap from the glass with of black raspberry, violets, and creme de liquor notes. The mouth gives generous amounts of juicy black fruits at the core with hints of baking spice and a smooth, savory finish. This is a terrific partner for just about anything from hard cheese, to poultry, summer salads, you name it!
91 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Always the one with the most personality of the bunch, this is what Wine Enthusiast had to say about the 2021 release: “This extremely ripe and bold style of Pinot Noir will please those seeking such lushness. Dark in the glass, it begins with black cherry, toasty caramel and cola milk shake aromas.” The cool, coastal days and abundance of sunshine lines up perfectly for a wine that has a good natural acidic backbone, with bold fruit-forward flavors. In an easy 2021 vintage, Joe Wagner had a field day with this single-vineyard beauty.

“The 2018 Palmer is a legend in the making…This audacious Palmer was still revving its engines 48 hours after opening. There will never be another Palmer like this, sui generis. It was a massive risk. But by throwing caution to the wind, something extraordinary was born.” -100 points, Vinous
#3 Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 2021
96 Points, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 95 Points, Wine Spectator
We are one of the very few folks who have Wine Spectator’s #3 Wine of the Year. This is definitely not one to miss. The 2016 vintage showcases this prized vineyard in all its glory; notes of wild black fruit, thyme, mint, eucalyptus, and bay are lifted and enjoyed with the polished tannin and mouthwatering freshness of this wine. Regarded as one of the best vintages in the last few decades, the 2016 Martha’s Vineyard has been aged to perfection for immediate enjoyment at release and will continue to reward for the next 20+ years.
