This is another super limited production project from the Bourbon leaders, Booker’s and their iconic master distiller, Fred Noe. They’re calling this batch from April of 2021, ‘Noe Strangers’. It’s a monster at 6 years 6 months and 12 days and 124.4 Proof (62.2% alc.)
This is a gorgeous non-chill filtered Cask Strength bourbon made in new charred oak with a mashbill of 77% Corn, 13% Rye and 10% Malted Barley. I happen to think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever had from these Bourbon legends, probably because Freddie made it as an homage to his father Booker Noe. It’s got a gorgeous caramel nose that also features notes of hazelnuts, toffee and dried dark fruit. It’s got the classic Booker aroma profile with the warm, heavy palate that flashes oak, caramel, baking spices, with a nutty component. The finish is long with baking spices, vanilla and a Kentucky hug.
The breakdown is as follows:
39% came from the 6th floor of 9-story warehouse J
31% came from the 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Q
27% came from the 5th floor of 9-story warehouse D
3% came from the 2nd floor of 9-story warehouse H

This is a very rare single barrel Bourbon Whiskey to make its way to Jersey. Maple syrup, butterscotch, caramel & brown sugar with a palate of caramel apple, roasted almond, ripe banana and graham crackers. This one has a full mouthfeel with a nice creamy middle. The finish here lingers with just the right amount of burn. This was born on 2/3/2017 and bottled at 102 Proof. This is a great bottle of Whiskey.

“There are 6,500 cases of the superb 2006 Dominus (91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot). Its dark plum/purple color is accompanied by aromas and flavors of truffles, forest floor, black cherries, black currants, and Asian spices. One of the finest wines of the vintage, it is complete, full-bodied, and seamlessly built with beautiful ripe tannins, low acidity, and a luscious, layered mouthfeel. The aromatics are even more evolved and complex than the 2005’s. The 2006 should drink well for 20-25 years. These are the two strongest back to back vintages for Dominus since 1990-1991 and 2001-2002.” -Robert Parker, Jr.
Bulleit isn’t usually one to come out with too many new or limited releases, but the ‘Frontier’ Limited Release bucks that trend. This American Single Malt was made with 100% malted barley, aged in new American spiced oak casks, and bottled at 43% alcohol. It hits with notes of freshly baked pumpernickel bread, candied orange, dried fruits, and maple syrup. She’s a beauty – just wish I had more to sell!
In the 2020 vintage in Gevrey-Chambertin, yields were super low and temperatures were hotter than most Burgundian winemakers are accustomed. Many picked too late when the sugars were high and the fruit really ripe, but that was not the play. Still, Ann remained as cool in those hot temps as she did so many years ago in Napa, concentrating more on acid levels than sugars and picking at just the right time. This wine is absolutely singing – it’s an age-worthy beauty that should be even better in 4-7 years.
