Bodega Colome is nestled in the Calchaqui Valley, 2300 meters (7500 feet) above sea level, in the Argentine northwest. Founded in 1831, it is one of the oldest existing wineries in Argentina.
In 2001, it was acquired by the Hess Family Estates, a crucial purchase that has been a true win-win for both parties. Their wines have never been better, and the Hess family has continued to put in the resources necessary to make this such a winning venture.
Thoese wines made are with grapes of the highest quality and grown in the highest vineyards in the world (7,200-10,300 feet above sea level) reflecting the soul of its terroir. Bodega Colome’s philosophy consists in the commitment to implement biodynamic agriculture, whose principles were outlined by the researcher Rudolf Steiner.

This has perfumed aromas of elderflowers, lemon blossom, green apples and melon. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a creamy, supple palate. Balanced and so drinkable, with no bitterness or pithiness. Vegan. Drink now
90 Points (#7, Top 100 Best Buys of 2022), Wine Enthusiast
This wine shows great varietal typicity with an aromatic nose of geranium flower, white peach and citrus fruit. It has nice acidity with subtle herbaceous notes and green apple, linden tea and stone fruit flavors. It has a bitter pleasant finish.

Sonoma Coast is well-known as a cool-climate region, perfect for growing Chardonnay. That’s why it’s such a big deal for Route Stock to transition over for the first time from Carnernos over to here. The newly released 2022 beams freshness and comes packed with a delightful energy in its youth. It has a pale straw color with lime hues. The aromas are of honeysuckle, orange blossom and creme brulee with layers of vanilla and a hint of toffee. The palate is lively yet soft with flavors of lemon cream pie and merange.
It’s hard to beat a great value white wine and this one is a at least a cut above the rest. One prominant industry insider called the 2022 edition, “the best white wine by any within $20/cs of this price.” It’s super crisp with a great mineral streak, and was carefully picked by hand when the temperature is coolest and is kept cool all the way into the press. From there, the effect of the mineral soil takes over, providing great finesse and freshness in every bottle. This white blend has great backbone and a lot of juicy fruit coming through behind aromas of flowers and stone fruits. At this price, it’s a no brainer.
Just in time, we got back Vincent Ricard’s all-time great white wine bargain. This is a crisp, clean and flat out delicious Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. The protege to the Silex-style of Dagueneau – who over the last 15 years has produced flawless and beloved white wines that at last count were on the wine lists of over 36 Michelin-starred restaurants. This is a great house white and one that can surely hold its own with just about everything on the table.

If you’ve never heard of Bisci, let’s start here. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate called Giuseppe Bisci’s Verdicchio “one of the finest I’ve ever tasted,” and noted that “Verdicchio is one of the joys of Italian oenology that rarely gets the respect it deserves, and few producers do it better than Bisci.” A staple at $85/bottle for both French Laundry and Eleven Madison Park. “Verdicchio is one of the joys of Italian oenology that rarely gets the respect it deserves, and few producers do it better than Bisci.” – The Wine Advocate
