The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Located on the Left Bank, some consider Pauillac to be the best sub-AVA in the world.

This wine is aromatically complex and incredibly concentrated yet light on its feet. Your grandkids will be able to enjoy this wine; winemaker Christian Seeley says that classic vintages of Pichon Baron like this one continue to improve with age for 30-40 years!!

This wine is one of my absolute favorites from Pauillac and the Left Bank. Such a complex, layered effort and one that gets better every time you revisit it!

The 2019 vintage of Château Puyanche is their best and highest rated to date. It boasts a harmonious blend of Cab Franc, Merlot, and Cab, showcasing a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. Expect to be greeted by notes of ripe black fruits, subtle spices, and a hint of oak, all wrapped up in a silky-smooth texture that lingers long after each sip. This is one that is great now, but somehow, even at this price-point offers years more of excellent drinking.

Damien has crafted a delicious Médoc, full of character with dense black currant and cherry fruit, cedar, tobacco and wonderful complexity. It’s silky complexion is what pushes it over the edge (and, of course, the price!) It doesn’t hurt that it comes from a 95-point Left Bank vintage that the Wine Advocate declared, “outstanding.”

“Tasted from barrel, the 2020 Bolgheri Superiore Ornellaia will be presented in the fall but won’t hit the market until spring of the following year. This is a beauty, so generous and opulent with fully seamless transitions. The wine’s traditional blend is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with tiny percentages of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, although this warm vintage makes do with a pinch less of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit is selected across 107 hectares of Ornellaia vines, although the estate recently purchased an additional eight hectares next to Guado al Tasso in Castagneto Carducci, with terraces and vines aged between 15 and 28 years old. This broad and generous expression has a beautiful quality of fruit and oak that speaks to the very best of Italian winemaking.” -Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

“This estate in Saint-Christoly-Médoc has long produced great value, quintessentially Médoc-styled wines, and the 2016 La Tour St Bonnet has turned out especially well. Offering up aromas of sweet blackcurrant fruit intermingled with notions of loamy soil, tobacco leaf and vanilla pod, it’s medium to full-bodied, with powdery tannins and a nicely concentrated core of fruit. Robert Parker once described this estate as producing a miniature Grand-Puy-Lacoste, and that observation continues to resonate with me.
