George Dickel Reserve 17-Year Tennessee Whisky

Category

This is one of those crazy stories that only ever get told in the Whiskey world of Kentucky and Tennessee. Eighty barrels of bourbon sat in the back of a single-story warehouse for 17 years without anybody even remembering they were there. Master Distiller Allisa Henley eventually stumbled on the 80 barrels, tried it – couldn’t believe what she was tasting and rushed to get it all in bottle. That was in June of 2016.

The mashbill here is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley and was charcoal mellowed after distillation. You just about cannot find any of this stuff in the market and when you do, it’s usually super costly (up to $800/btl). Still, there’s no way I’m charging that – I want to be on the low side and give everybody a chance at this great collector’s item at a price less than half of what others are going out with. Enjoy!

Original price was: $500.00.Current price is: $330.00.

Out of stock

This is one of the most rare bottles of Tennessee Whiskey out there, plain and simple. It’s a rich and powerful version with creamy notes of caramel, vanilla and creme brulee, with toasted walnuts, banana nut muffin, honey and a dash of carmalized sugar. It also has some inviting dried fruit and baking spice notes that come in as well. This is a special collector’s bottle. I’ve seen people anywhere from $360/bottle all the way to $800/bottle on this one. I’m coming in $30/btl less than the lowest price I could find. Buy one to enjoy, buy one to sell for double your money – either way, I only have six bottles to go around, so don’t wait too long!
