Domaine Gasnier
The last time I visited Domaine Gasnier was the morning after a potentially devastating Spring frost. A frost like that, right at bud break, has the potential to ruin an entire vintage, and in the case of a small family farm such as Domaine Gasnier, could be a financial disaster.
Three generations worked the field that night, lighting small fires within the rows, hoping those few watts of heat energy would keep the vines just warm enough to survive the night. Luckily for us, they did.
The 2023 Clos de la Cure (below) – a very rare white wine – was one of the wines that was saved. Today is the perfect day to shop small and support our small family farm suppliers. Buy any of the wines on this page and know that you are helping support a small family business. Mix and match any 12 or more and save an additional 10% of your entire order.
