The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

In the world of ultra-premium Napa Valley Cabernet, certain names transcend the challenges of a specific growing season. The Mascot is a prime example. Created by Will Harlan, it is sourced from the younger vines of the family’s three legendary estates: Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory. But with each passing vintage, those “young vines” don’t become so young, and this becomes one of the greatest values in Napa, even at the price.

When dealing with fruit of this pedigree, every vintage is a good one. But the phenomenal 2021 vintage was like a dream for Harland and BOND. The flagship Harlan Estate took home three 100-point reviews and a 99+ from Parker’s Wine Advocate, the BOND wines combined for four more 99-point reviews. That’s the level we’re talking about. It’s a real good thing they don’t submit this wine for scores because there’s no way it comes back with anything less than 99 or 100 points. It’s that good. The only problem is this will only be here for a short time!
