Tasca Regaleali Grillo Sicilia Cavallo Delle Fate 2023

The Tasca family has been an integral part of the Sicilian wine scene for generations and is considered by many to be one of its biggest champions. They were the very first producer to market their wines with ‘Sicily’ proudly stated on the label at a time when winemakers thought that ‘Italian table wine’ would be better received.

But the Tasca family had a really good feeling about the special soil that lay beneath their vines. So even when others told them there was nothing to their vision, they forged ahead and overcame every obstacle that stood in their way.

The Tascas have owned the Regaleali Estate since 1837. The gorgeous, sprawling estate had become like a giant sandbox for the family to experiment with ancient vines and indigenous varietals under the watchful eye of superstar winemaker Ezio Rivella. Unfortunately, the iconic consultant died earlier this year, but incredibly his last vintages, 2022 and 2023, represent some of the estate’s greatest bottlings – a poetic ode to their creator.
