“Bright and lively, this is one of my favorite non vintage Bruts. Crisp and balanced, with smooth, exuberant, Chardonnay-driven style; racy, elegant, and totally charming; long and memorable. ”
Champagne Taittinger was established in 1931 by Pierre Taittinger on the foundations of Forest-Forneaux, itself established in 1734 and the third-oldest wine producing house of Champagne. It is one of the largest in the region and also considered one of the most elite — consistently producing some of the most exciting bubbly wines anywhere in the world. This is a rare chance at a wine that is usually just restaurant only. I’m the only in NJ with this wine and I’m lower than the rest of the country. Don’t miss out!

At J Vineyards, Nicole is nothing short of a magician, making 30 different skus or more each vintage between her Pinots, Chardonnays, and Sparkling wines. For the vineyard’s flagship Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, up to 100 individual small lots are combined to make this great wine. Somehow, the blend is effortless–a quintessential RRV Pinot that has those soaring aromatics, bright red fruits, clove, and nutmeg spice with perfect balance.
Now some of the best Pinot Noir in the world comes from the Yamhill-Carlton District (this small neck of the woods has earned its own AVA) and specifically from Shea Vineyards. Big name wineries clamor for fruit: Antica Terra, Beaux Freres, Bergstrom, Penner-Ash, & Sine Qua Non, to name a few. This Pinot is lights out and even given the pedigree, drinks several echelons higher. Blueberry, Blackberry, Blue Cheese (?!?), chanterelle mushrooms, lavender, mint – I could go on. It’s literally got it all, but I won’t spoil it for you.
The 2022 Juliana Layla Pinot Noir: named after our now 13-year old daughter, her latest in a line of worthy Pinot Noirs. This is a delicious and super fresh cuvee that leads with cherry cola notes, blackberry juice, and violet notes with a hint of baking spice. It’s a pure-fruited, high-toned Pinot Noir with a great mid-palate, silky tannins, and a lot of focus. This is the very last of our two pallets. They can’t make anymore!

“Deep in color and vinous in its red fruit, this is a spicy and compelling rosé. There’s pristine strawberry flavor at its core, surrounded by accents of red grapefruit, blood orange and fennel. The wine’s intensity rises like its bubbles from base note to high notes, leaving a pale red fruit ghosting in the finish.”
