Bisol Relio Rive Di Guia Prosecco Superiore 2022
‘Relio’ is truly one of the finest wines that Prosecco has to offer. It’s the flagship Sparkler from Bisol’s epic lineup and an ode to the man who founded the great winery Aurelio ‘Relio’ Bisol. It’s a single-vineyard bottling from Rive di Guia, one of the top vineyards in Northern Italy, that will completely change what you think you know about Prosecco and its ‘limits.’ Only the best grapes are hand selected off the steepest slopes, and the power and lift that this one is able to achieve is simply remarkable. It’s a full-bodied beauty.

Juliana Layla Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2022
After receiving two dozen samples and trading some notes back and forth, I chose a blend that I’m absolutely in love with and certain will be a huge hit. Once again, this is an exclusive project that we’ve commissioned for Nicholas Wines. This cuvee once again comes from two of the northern Willamette Valley’s top vineyard sites. Both sites have Oregon’s coveted Jory Volcanic soils, the red soil rich in clay content, iron, and other nutrients that seem to perfectly aid Pinot Noir growth and help give it distinctly earthy tones. Combine that with the site’s higher elevation and cooler landscape, and this wine is full of aromatics, depth, and a high-toned touch.

Kumeu River Chardonnay Rays Road 2022
Rays Road is Kumeu River’s new vineyard site in Hawkes Bay and this is the first year of the bottling. Needless to say, it’s already a hit. Cut off a limestone hillside nearly 600 feet above sea-level, it’s a gorgeous example of a new world, cool-climate Chardonnay. It racked up 94 points from James Suckling who called it, “crisp, racy and intense” as well as a 93-point review from Parker’s Wine Advocate who called it “fine and spicy” and “really nicely done”.

Poggio Al Sole Trittico 2021
Poggio Al Sole’s Trittico comes from the picteresque commune of Tavernelle Val di Pesa in the heart of Chianti Classico. It’s farmed organically from low yeilding vines giving it incredible power, intensity and concentrated flavors. The Trittico is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet with a splash of Merlot. It’s a gorgeous Super Tuscan that is incredibly food friendly, though it truly is one of those wines that can star on its own.
