What an absolute showstopper from Ryan Richioli who now serves as the 4th generation winemaker at this storied estate. TThis is cool-climate Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc at its finest. This is not your wimpy, light and bright Sauv Blanc, this is a sophisticated estate bottling that shows off the deeper side of Sauvignon Blanc. Coming from vines planted back in 1959, it comes with layers of layers of citrus, mineral salinity and a orchard fruits. Jeb Dunnuck said it well, “while there is no oak, this is a complete wine with some real viscosity and the potential for aging.”

The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is a bright straw color and boasts pithy notes of citrus, salty, white pepper, white grapefruit pith, and beeswax. It comes from vines on the estate that were planted in 1959. The palate is zesty and crispy, and it’s medium-bodied with a long finish. While there is no oak, this is a complete wine with some real viscosity and the potential for aging.
