The RFH Holiday Case Includes:
(3 bottles) Juliana Layla Pinot Noir 2017– This is a dynamic Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, aromatically explosive, with a bowl full of berries on the mouth with just the right amount of spice. The finish is long, the tannins, really fine.
(3 bottles) Xavier 100% Cotes-Du-Rhone 2015– This is full-bodied, dark and chewy on the palate with beautiful silky tannins and a lingering finish. I think it’s just a great wine at a phenomenal value and pretty much a no brainer.
(3 bottles) Bele Casel Prosecco NV- Bele Casel is a small, organic, artisanal winery who strives to make aromatic and concentrated Prosecco. It’s a great way to start any party.
(3 bottles) Domaine Vincent Ricard Touraine Sauvignon Blanc Le Petiot 2018– This is a superb choice for a “cocktail” wine, as an aperitif or to accompany just about anything on your holiday table.

Stephan Steinmetz is a star in the Mosel wine region. His old vines are rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone, the exact same vein of rock that winds its way from Sancerre through Chablis and Champagne to its final out-cropping here in the Obermosel. His Elbling is glorious — both completely unlike anything I’ve ever had and also eerily familiar. The color is almost clear, some might call it silver. A stunning nose of green apples and lemon peel gives way to fresh pear and bright citrus fruits on the palate. It’s a stunningly focused wine with a healthy dose of minerality and acid zip, not unlike great Sancerre/Chablis and bone dry.

“Truly great stuff, this wine performed at a three-digit level both in the horizontal tasting of 2005s in Baltimore, as well as in Montreal at this mini-vertical. This sensational, opaque, bluish/purple wine offers up notes of vanillin, spring flowers, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, plus a touch of licorice. The wine hits the palate with a thunderous cascade of ripe, rich, concentrated fruit. It is full-bodied, multidimensional and layered. The Bisol “Jeio” Prosecco NV is a delicious sparkler that comes from the Veneto region of northeast Italy. A brilliant straw yellow color, the first sip is an intense and fresh nose of citrus fruits and saline sensations. If you love fruit forward sparklers… this one is for you.
It’s hard to beat a great value white wine and this one is a at least a cut above the rest. One prominant industry insider called the 2022 edition, “the best white wine by any within $20/cs of this price.” It’s super crisp with a great mineral streak, and was carefully picked by hand when the temperature is coolest and is kept cool all the way into the press. From there, the effect of the mineral soil takes over, providing great finesse and freshness in every bottle. This white blend has great backbone and a lot of juicy fruit coming through behind aromas of flowers and stone fruits. At this price, it’s a no brainer.
