It’s one of the most iconic names in American wine. Pine Ridge Vineyards has been a leader in crafting iconic Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Stags Leap District for the last four decades, making a mark with each vintage they produce.
The winery lies tucked beneath a ridge of pines, with a full view of the rugged outcropping of palisades that speak to the dramatic geologic origins of its world-famous soils. Under the direction of winemaker, Michael Beaulac since 2009, the winery has been lead to even greater heights.
In the monumental 2014 vintage in Stags Leap, a long, dry growing season created perfect conditions for rich, deeply concentrated and ageworthy Cabernet Sauvignon with beautifully structured tannins. It’s makes for a cherished Napa Valley collector’s item.

93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
Velvety thick with black fruit and pepper notes, this wine is firm with tense, fully structured tannin—a powerful backbone that contributes complexity and concentration.
93 Points, Decanter
Small amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec add dimension to this rich, powerful wine that wears its alcohol well. It’s ultra-vibrant in its wild blackberry character, with a lingering, saliva-inducing finish. Tobacco leaf, spicy oak, firm tannic structure and synchronicity of all the elements is superb. Not Eligible for Futher Discount-From famed winemaker, Robert Foley comes an absolute delight of a bottle of wine. A seamless Bordeaux blend of 80% Cabernet, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot that is incredibly smoothly now but should have another decade easy of prime drinking. It is the definition of a Saturday Night bottle of wine. One to cherish for a special occasion.
90-92 Pts, Parker’s Wine Advocate – 91 Pts (Editors’ Choice), Wine Enthusiast – 91 Pts, Decanter
The wines get consistent high praise but 2018 is truly something special. 90-92 from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. 91 points and an Editor’s Choice designation from Wine Enthusiast. 91 more from Decanter who provides “There is so much to enjoy in the smaller appellations this year. Drinking Window 2022 – 2031” and another 90 point score from James Suckling. This is a home run value – especially for the price.
This is Joe Wagner and Quilt’s inaugural Red blend called Threadcount. It is a total knockout at the price point for this style of wine. It’s a big voluptuous wine and very fruit forward. The nose is straight up dark chocolate dipped raspberries and it tastes of fresh-baked blueberry pie, spice, and a touch of toffee. It’s the kind of quality blend that you’ve come to expect from the family behind Caymus.
95 Points, James Suckling – 94 Points, Wine Spectator – 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast
The new release is here from outstanding winemaking team of Michel Rolland, Charles Thomas, Andy Erickson and David Jelenik. This one always represents one of the best quality-to-price ratios in all of Napa Cab and in the stellar 2021 vintage, this really stands out as one of the best the Valley has to offer. It’s a racy mix of Coombsville fruit from Atlas Peak that absolutely roars out of the bottle. Always one of Napa’s great bargains and a must have even as the price starts to sneak up here a little bit.
