This is a ridiculous rare bottling. I cannot find a single other online retailer who has this. Are we really that lucky?
The Double Oak started as a happy accident, and ended up as a highly lauded small batch production. The process takes a lot of time, but the folks at Peerless wanted to create an authentic product that isn’t found elsewhere. Exposing Peerless Bourbon to two separate casks allows for two full barrel extractions. The result? Supercharged notes give this whiskey supreme complexity and mouthfeel.
The tasting team strategically selects barrels with prominent grain, fruit, and herbaceous notes as they are complemented well by the extra barrel character. This ultimately makes for a population of barrels that are packed with flavor, yet balanced enough to uphold the Peerless name.
The nose opens with sweet oak accented with orange zest and cedar. They’re joined by inviting aromas of tobacco and herbs. On the palate, the first sip lends notes of a honey sweetness before swiftly shifting to cinnamon and spicy oak. The second sip adds leather for an earthy balance while displaying an amazing body. The finish is long and round with a mouthfeel of sweet, toasted oak and dry cocoa. This is bottled at 108.7 Proof (54.35% alc.)

Now some of the best Pinot Noir in the world comes from the Yamhill-Carlton District (this small neck of the woods has earned its own AVA) and specifically from Shea Vineyards. Big name wineries clamor for fruit: Antica Terra, Beaux Freres, Bergstrom, Penner-Ash, & Sine Qua Non, to name a few. This Pinot is lights out and even given the pedigree, drinks several echelons higher. Blueberry, Blackberry, Blue Cheese (?!?), chanterelle mushrooms, lavender, mint – I could go on. It’s literally got it all, but I won’t spoil it for you.
This is definitely one of the most unique private barrels of bourbon you’re gonna find anywhere and it comes from our friends at in Kirby at Wyoming Whiskey. It’s been two years since we’ve had this baby! They make their own whiskey in-house instead of getting it shipped to them and finishing it. In doing so, they use winter wheat to churn out a medium length whiskey with notes of honey, burnt sugar, cinnamon and caramel on the finish. It’s sensational – but I only have 120 bottles from this barrel to offer up.
Who doesn’t love Big Bottles?!? This is one I’ve never gotten before and didn’t even know existed before the cult winery reached out with “something special for our support” last week. You have to go all the back to the tough 2014 vintage to find a ‘Southing’ Pinot Noir from Sea Smoke that got less than a 95-point score. Not only is Sea Smoke’s winemaking team outstanding, but their single-vineyards represent some of the best land anywhere in the Russian River Valley. The ‘Southing’ Pinot Noir is the marriage of elegance and complexity utilizing the Sea Smoke Estate Vineyard along the Santa Ynez River.
Rich and creamy notes of toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, and fresh baked Bundt cake immediately flood the sense’s as soon as you pop this one open. Bottled at 100-Proof, you get a little bit of heat on the front palate followed by rich oak, leather and freshly baked bread. As it starts to open, you get some sweeter, creamy vanilla notes that cream in as well as campfire s’mores and a dash of pepper. The finish is long, and a bit spicy which leaves a memorable aftertaste and leaves you wanting more.
