The new 2023 release is just as good as its predecessors and it comes even juicier than most vintages, which is a bonus. This is a knockout French Chardonnay value that you should seek out if you haven’t tried it yet.

Domaine LaFage’s Novellum Chardonnay is a ringer. It’s the kind of wine that you bring to a friend’s house to wow them, and when you tell them the price their head explodes. It’s really that good.
Novellum is a collaboration from Domaine LaFage and iconoclast wine importer Eric Solomon. Parker called Solomon perhaps the best importer in the country and said, “ [he] has a great talent for ferreting out spectacular wines from France and Spain.”
Solomon’s greatest strength is that he finds such great values. But in partnering with the formidable LaFage, now he doesn’t have to find something spectacular – he can just make it.
