Cantina Mesa Giunco Vermentino di Sardegna 2023 -91 Points, Vinous
The 2023 Vermentino di Sardegna Giunco impresses with its perfumed yet delicate blend of wildflower, kiwi and wet stone aromas. This is lifted and refined, with a subtle mineral tinge up front and crisp orchard fruit tones elevated by a core of cooling acidity as nuances of lime embellish the close. The 2023 leaves a saline tinge, finishing fresh and long with a citrusy resonance.

Cantina Mesa Giunco Vermentino di Sardegna 2023
The Cantina Mesa Giunco Vermentino di Sardegna 2023 is a total knock-out. It’s a high-toned, food-friendly treat. It’s so versatile, it’s the kind of bottle that is killer with pizza or seafood. Vinous loved it too. In their 91-point review, they raved, calling it “more savory than sweet, blending wild herb, crushed stone, spice and green apple aromas. It’s silken in feel with a pretty inner sweetness and ripe melon tones offset by a salty twang of minerality.” This is one of Sardinia’s finest white wine values, without question.
Château Peyrassol Cotes de Provence Rosé 2022
Château Peyrassol is an incredible property with a deep, rich history in Provence. With almost 800 years of existence, they have become arguably the top Rose chateau on the planet. That’s why they charge $50/btl for some of their bottles (this one included) and people pay hand over fist. Located in the foothills of the Massif des Maures, they make this Rosé as a bright and elegant wine, delivering high-toned flavors of strawberry and melon with plenty of extraction and length. It’s delicious with or without food. Vinous came in at 92 points for this beauty calling it “beautiful, pure, fresh and perfumed.”
Clos Julien Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Les Gravieres’ Sonoma County 2022
The Clos Julien team is famous for finding incredible juice at unbeatable prices. In 2022, they had their pick of the litter, and they delivered a sensational Cabernet. Sourced from several distinctive benchland sites in Sonoma County, Les Gravières showcases the interplay between rocky, volcanic gravel soils and richer valley floor influences. This terroir-driven Cabernet balances mountainside intensity and savory complexity with a ripe, creamy texture. This is arguably Clos Julien’s biggest Cabernet Sauvignon to date.
Duckhorn Postmark Chardonnay Sonoma County 2021
This 2021 Duckhorn Postmark Chardonnay from Sonoma is a huge crowd pleaser. Right from the start, you get this inviting smell of crisp green apple and ripe pear, maybe a little zing of lemon zest in there too. When you take a sip, it feels super refreshing and well-balanced. It’s got that nice bright acidity, but it’s also got this soft, almost creamy texture that’s just a pleasure to drink. You’ll taste some nice stone fruit, a hint of vanilla, and a subtle toasted nut thing going on. It finishes really cleanly, leaving you with just a touch of that fresh minerality. It’s an elegant wine, and really approachable wine – perfect if you like a Chardonnay that’s got both pure fruit and a little bit of richness without being over the top.
