This is a double 90-point gorgeous French Rose at an absurd price. One of the absolute best quality-to-price ratio offers of the year… no questions asked.
Some of you got to taste the highly-rated Moulin de Gassac Rouge when we had it in the store earlier this year. That too is such a great wine for the price, it’s what Mas de Daumas does best. But their Rose has become the winery’s calling card. Maybe that’s because a Rose that gets released for $13/btl shouldn’t be as good as it is, nor should it come with so many rave reviews. But it is… and here we are.
Josh Raynolds of Vinous’ gave it their highest score ever in their 9 years reviewing the wine, calling it “lively and sharply focused” as well as complimenting the “very good clarity on the palate.” James Suckling saw it even one point higher at 91, calling it “Medium-bodied, with a round, creamy yet fresh palate. Delicate and balanced.”
It’s just a really, really solid wine. Beautiful display of fresh red and citrus fruits with great tension, strong acid and a beautiful mineral cut on the finish. Everything you want in a summer Rose.

91 Points, James Suckling
Very pale rose tint with aromas of peaches, white strawberries, pomegranates and fresh flowers. It’s medium-bodied with a round, creamy yet fresh palate. Delicate and balanced. Cinsault, carignan and grenache. Delicious now.
90 Points, Vinous
Bright, salmon skin color. Lively and sharply focused on the nose, displaying fresh red berry and citrus fruit aromas and sneaky mineral and floral nuances. Shows very good clarity on the palate with nervy strawberry, redcurrant and tangerine flavors, plus a touch of honeysuckle. Finishes taut and long, with repeating florality and firm mineral cut.

94 Points (Best Buy), Wine & Spirits
“Deep in color and vinous in its red fruit, this is a spicy and compelling rosé. There’s pristine strawberry flavor at its core, surrounded by accents of red grapefruit, blood orange and fennel. The wine’s intensity rises like its bubbles from base note to high notes, leaving a pale red fruit ghosting in the finish.”
Just in time, we got back Vincent Ricard’s all-time great white wine bargain. This is a crisp, clean and flat out delicious Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. The protege to the Silex-style of Dagueneau – who over the last 15 years has produced flawless and beloved white wines that at last count were on the wine lists of over 36 Michelin-starred restaurants. This is a great house white and one that can surely hold its own with just about everything on the table.
From the famous family behind Peyrassol, comes a new Cotes du Provence smash hit. The wine is pale pink in color with notes of small wild berries on the nose complemented by a hint of juniper. This spiciness lends weight to the liveliness on the palate reminiscent of exotic citrus fruits, creating a crisp, harmonious and refreshing ensemble. Spice lingers on the palate for a full and round finish.
It’s no surprise the Wine Advocate has called the Ventoux a “screaming bargain.” Carved off the left bank of the Rhone River, the 2020 Delas Ventoux is a gorgeous medium-bodied wine with wonderful crushed red fruits, a silky mouthfeel, tremendous structure and that signature Rhone spice on the finish. I haven’t had this wine available for a few vintages, but I figure it’s the perfect springtime Red to bring back in the fold!
