Kosta Browne Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2023

*Nicholas Exclusive Offer*

Kosta Browne has built an incredible international reputation as one of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers in the world, doing incredible things with a number different California terroirs for decades as part of their ‘Appellation Series’ But in 2022, when they announced a Willamette Valley, Oregon bottling, the move put all of Oregon on notice!

This Willamette Valley bottling blends fruit from up to ten distinct vineyards including legendary ones such as Shea Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton, Eola Springs, and Ribbon Ridge. It’s so elegant and silky with a rich, plush mouthfeel with ripe fruit and somehow more elegance and restraint than you’d expect. Fresh cranberry, raspberry, strawberry and black cherry all come through with subtle notes of baking spice. Refined tannins, structured finish – a gorgeous and ageworthy Pinot from the masters at Kosta Browne.

Original price was: $115.00.Current price is: $75.00.

93 Points, James Suckling
Perfumed aromas of wild blackberry bush, dried strawberries and citrus peel. The palate is medium-bodied with bright acidity and fine tannins, giving notes of sarsaparilla, dried herbs and potpourri. Refined and generous.

Kosta Browne is a legendary California producer. The put the rest of the domestic wine world on notice when they first announced their ‘Appellation Series’ in 2002 as a way to showcase different terroirs across the West Coast: Russian River, Sonoma Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands, Sta. Rita Hills.

But in 2022 they upped the ante considerably, (probably to the chagrin of everyone in the Willamette Valley) when they announced their first ever bottling from outside of California. The dawn of a new era.
