Feudi del Pisciotto Grillo Colori di Sicilia 2024

Feudi del Pisciotto is a game-changing new winery find in Southern Italy. Their ‘Colors of Sicily’ Grillo is one of the finest expressions of Grillo I’ve had possibly ever. It opens with vibrant aromas of tropical fruits, white peaches, and a hint of jasmine. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and fresh, offering a well-balanced and slightly savory flavor profile. The elegant label for their Grillo is often a work of art itself, designed by Italian fashion designer Carolina Marengo. The wine itself is perfect for not only Sicilian cuisine but most anything you could throw at it, but perhaps is best suited for happy hour when it can completely shine on its own.

Original price was: $25.00.Current price is: $22.00.

Feudi del Pisciotto is super interesting new winery located in the Val di Noto region of southeastern Sicily. The estate is a unique blend of ancient and modern, featuring a magnificent 18th-century “palmento,” or wine press house, that has been meticulously restored and integrated with a state-of-the-art modern cellar.

The winery’s innovative spirit extends beyond its facilities to a celebrated social project called the “Grandi Stilisti Collection,” in which they collaborate with top Italian fashion designers like Versace, Missoni, and Valentino. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these specially-labeled wines is used to support the restoration of Sicilian art and cultural heritage, creating a unique synergy between the worlds of winemaking and fashion.

The Grillo grape, a native Sicilian white variety, is one of the winery’s prized expressions. It has gained significant recent attention for its aromatic qualities and freshness, perfectly suited to Sicily’s warm climate.
