As much as customer’s raved about last year’s Double Canyon, the 2016 blows it away. The 2016 Horse Hills comes roaring right out of the gates with beautiful, clean red fruits. On the attack, the wine offers intricately woven youthful tannins that give the wine a delicious and slightly chewy taste.
The experts agree – giving the 2016 dual 92 point scores. Talk about an upgrade. A Best Buy designate from Wine & Spirits Magazine and a matching score courtesy of Decanter who called out the wine’s “wonderful, bright cassis fruit” and “velvety, soft tannins”.
This one drinks nearly as well as its $65 older brother, but since we locked in a full year ago – you can have it for a much more gulpable price.

92 Points (Best Buy), Wine & Spirits
A wine that leads with attractive savor—scents of cedar, nightshade, and prairie sage—this has a sleek, dark core of fruit. It’s a stylish cabernet, tasting like crushed blueberries dusted with thyme. Silky tannins guide the finish toward herb-roasted game, like the antelope from Angler in LA.
92 Points, Decanter Magazine
Intensely colored with wonderful bright cassis fruit and a hint of spice from the Syrah. Velvety, soft tannins.

It’s no surprise the Wine Advocate has called the Ventoux a “screaming bargain.” Carved off the left bank of the Rhone River, the 2020 Delas Ventoux is a gorgeous medium-bodied wine with wonderful crushed red fruits, a silky mouthfeel, tremendous structure and that signature Rhone spice on the finish. I haven’t had this wine available for a few vintages, but I figure it’s the perfect springtime Red to bring back in the fold!
The 2021 Napa Valley East side Cuvee is an instant classic. From the first whiff to the moment it hits the lips, its clear that this is a fabulously concentrated, serious wine: black in color, and featuring aromas of cassis, cedar and chocolate-tinged purple fruit. The mouthfeel is plush and voluptuous with a firm, solid finish that speaks to its potential for considerable aging.

“The 2021 Malbec Reserva, from Vistalba, Lujan de Cuyo, was 60% aged in barrels for 12 months. Purple in color. The nose presents notes of fresh plum and violets, white pepper, strawberry, hints of spice and aromas from the aging process. It’s initially indulgent in the mouth, with good fat, and volume and a velvety texture. The flavors are bold and full-bodied. This 2021 overdelivers at the price.” -Vinous
This is a sensational single-vineyard Merlot made from incredibly tiny clusters, full of some of the most elegant, intensely structured fruit from high atop Sonoma Mountain. Beautiful weight and balance with aromas of blueberries, black currants, sage and a hint of cocoa. It’s got a full, plush mouthfeel, pristine and vibrant fruit and a wonderful smooth finish. Thanks to Chad’s big bet on himself, he was able to make a knockout Sonoma Mountain beauty, without the need for any middleman, helping us to enjoy one of his best creations at an outstanding price.
