Chad Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2023

This 2023 comes from the cooler reaches of the Willamette Valley – Chad’s bread and butter territory where world-class Pinot Noir thrives. The wine is aromatic with pure black cherry fruit, bright and vibrant with that fresh acidity Wine Spectator highlighted in their 95-point vintage report. Supple, generous, drinkable right out of the gates.

Every time a new Chad vintage rolls around, I’m reminded that nothing we sell delivers this kind of quality-to-price ratio. This is the wine I hand people when they ask what to drink with turkey, salmon on the grill, or roasted chicken. It’s the perfect food wine – versatile, delicious, and priced like it shouldn’t be this good.

Original price was: $45.00.Current price is: $23.00.

The wine is very fine aromatically, with a high-toned, black cherry nose kissed with just a touch of spice. The fruit is absolutely pure Pinot, bright and vibrant. For the price, it’s absolutely killer Pinot.

Chad is back with a brand new 2023 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, and once again, he’s made it look easy.

Wine Spectator gave the 2023 vintage in Oregon 95 points, calling it “a bit warm but generally an excellent growing season that produced generous, supple reds balanced by fresh acidity.” That’s code for: everything went right, the fruit was clean, and winemakers who knew what they were doing made killer wine.

Chad always knows what he’s doing. He’s the best wine prospector I’ve ever met – the guy who finds premium finished wine from wineries that need cash flow and offers them money on the barrel. It’s a genius model that lets us sell $40-50 Oregon Pinot for under $20, and the wineries are happy to keep their names off the label because nobody wants customers knowing their highly-rated bottles are available this cheap.
