This is a super passion project for Master Distiller Freddie Noe which brings out the most creativity perhaps in the entire Jim Beam portfolio. There’s nothing quite like the Jim Beam and Bookers “Little Book Series.” It seems like every chapter, Freddie pulls a rabbit out of his hat and does something unheard of for Jim Beam for a variety of reasons.
Little Book’s Chapter 6 is a winner — even if I only was allocated six measly bottles to spread around. I’m not sure how long these collectibles are going to last, but I know whoever gets them is getting a bottle that should appreciate rapidly here in the next few years.
This brand new 2022 release includes a blend of five different liquid streams using different wood staves and barrel techniques that impart a unique liquid profile due to the secondary aging. This new chapter continues to push the boundaries of blending and challenges what some might assume of lower aged whiskies. The way these liquid streams complement each other makes this liquid extremely approachable, even for those who haven’t given cask strength whiskey a try.

Today I snagged a really special single barrel that I have been working on for nearly two years now with Old Forester. It’s a 128.2 proof dynamo that will blow you away, and you’ll love every single sip. The nose is of fresh leather, baking spices & cocoa. On the pallet, this one is a monster & hits you with baked apple. brown sugar, vanilla & cinnamon. The finish goes on for two days long with notes of fig, cherries & clove. It’s big, but she’s a beauty.
This is definitely one of the most unique private barrels of bourbon you’re gonna find anywhere and it comes from our friends at in Kirby at Wyoming Whiskey. It’s been two years since we’ve had this baby! They make their own whiskey in-house instead of getting it shipped to them and finishing it. In doing so, they use winter wheat to churn out a medium length whiskey with notes of honey, burnt sugar, cinnamon and caramel on the finish. It’s sensational – but I only have 120 bottles from this barrel to offer up.
I have good news and bad news about the Whistle Pig Double Malt Rye. The good news is I have it, but the bad news is I barely have any to go around. It’s the oldest Rye in the WhistlePig fleet, and is crafted from a mash bill of Rye, Malted Rye and Malted Barley. It’s finished in Spanish Sherry Casks, giving it a very robust and complex mouthfeel with wonderful peppery spice and loads of refinement that is meant to be enjoyed slowly and deliberately.
Rich and creamy notes of toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, and fresh baked Bundt cake immediately flood the sense’s as soon as you pop this one open. Bottled at 100-Proof, you get a little bit of heat on the front palate followed by rich oak, leather and freshly baked bread. As it starts to open, you get some sweeter, creamy vanilla notes that cream in as well as campfire s’mores and a dash of pepper. The finish is long, and a bit spicy which leaves a memorable aftertaste and leaves you wanting more.
