Blue Run Kentucky High Rye Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a four-year, small-batch whiskey and it’s the first Blue Run product with Bourbon Hall of Famer, Jim Rutledge overseeing the production. It’s distilled from a 65% Yellow Corn, 30% Rye, 5% Malted Barley mash bill.
Only 100 barrels were chosen for this bottling, each toasted to a #4 alligator char and aged in Frankfort and Bardstown, Kentucky. This baby is a serious whiskey with notes of caramel, black pepper, stone fruits and a hint of toasted oak. This is a very serious Kentucky Bourbon and a great collector’s item.

This is a very rare single barrel Bourbon Whiskey to make its way to Jersey. Maple syrup, butterscotch, caramel & brown sugar with a palate of caramel apple, roasted almond, ripe banana and graham crackers. This one has a full mouthfeel with a nice creamy middle. The finish here lingers with just the right amount of burn. This was born on 2/3/2017 and bottled at 102 Proof. This is a great bottle of Whiskey.
I was given fourteen samples to taste through, and found that the 5th sample was the winner. This one is not for the faint of heart. It was a tiny barrel of just 40 six-packs, but the quality here was out of the world. It checks in at 110 Proof (55% alc.) and has harmonious sweet and savory notes that dual throughout this super long and memorable finish. It’s worth selling less bottles to bring you one this good – you guys are going to absolutely love it.
Today I snagged a really special single barrel that I have been working on for nearly two years now with Old Forester. It’s a 128.2 proof dynamo that will blow you away, and you’ll love every single sip. The nose is of fresh leather, baking spices & cocoa. On the pallet, this one is a monster & hits you with baked apple. brown sugar, vanilla & cinnamon. The finish goes on for two days long with notes of fig, cherries & clove. It’s big, but she’s a beauty.
This is definitely one of the most unique private barrels of bourbon you’re gonna find anywhere and it comes from our friends at in Kirby at Wyoming Whiskey. It’s been two years since we’ve had this baby! They make their own whiskey in-house instead of getting it shipped to them and finishing it. In doing so, they use winter wheat to churn out a medium length whiskey with notes of honey, burnt sugar, cinnamon and caramel on the finish. It’s sensational – but I only have 120 bottles from this barrel to offer up.
