Adelsheim Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2019

$30.00

Once upon a time, like so many wine pioneers, David Adelsheim and his wife Ginny were called crazy. They were convinced that Pinot Noir would excel in Oregon and bought 15 acres of land in 1971 just outside of Newberg in what is now the famous Chehalem Mountains AVA. Adelsheim Vineyards was the first established winery in the region. Reflecting back, David Adelsheim said, “The idea that we would plant a grape variety that no one knew well in a place that nobody had ever heard of was not only remarkably naïve, it was a remarkable leap of faith.”

Today, the winery continues to produce some of the finest examples of Oregon wines while David Adelsheim is as present as ever in his roll as Oregon’s biggest champion, establishing the annual International Pinot festival in the Willamette Valley as well as a number of different AVAs, symposiums and wine competitions.

Their new 2019 release is a delicious and silky smooth Pinot with good energy, clean fruit and a great body. It finishes strong with a deep cherry influence and keeps you wanting more and more.
