Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and continues today as the oldest fully-operating Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Situated in heart of bourbon country on 196 acres, the Distillery has 29 barrel aging warehouses to their name along with 22 other buildings. After aging for 12 years, this bourbon is brought to proof with iron-free, Kentucky limestone water — the same water used by Tom Moore over a century ago.
This is a special bottling from Barton 1792 that whiskey collectors always are itching to get their hands on. Rich creamy notes of french vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and whipped caramel. On the mouth, candied pecans, walnuts, rye spice and gingerbread with butterscotch notes on the finish that is dry, but length and very smooth.

I was given fourteen samples to taste through, and found that the 5th sample was the winner. This one is not for the faint of heart. It was a tiny barrel of just 40 six-packs, but the quality here was out of the world. It checks in at 110 Proof (55% alc.) and has harmonious sweet and savory notes that dual throughout this super long and memorable finish. It’s worth selling less bottles to bring you one this good – you guys are going to absolutely love it.
Today I snagged a really special single barrel that I have been working on for nearly two years now with Old Forester. It’s a 128.2 proof dynamo that will blow you away, and you’ll love every single sip. The nose is of fresh leather, baking spices & cocoa. On the pallet, this one is a monster & hits you with baked apple. brown sugar, vanilla & cinnamon. The finish goes on for two days long with notes of fig, cherries & clove. It’s big, but she’s a beauty.
Basil Hayden’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon is one of those go-to entry level whiskies that you can always count on to deliver. A product of the Beam Distilling Co., the Kentucky Straight checks in at 80 Proof and has a robust, rich flavor that hits you in waves. As it starts to open, you get some sweeter, creamy vanilla notes that cream in as well as campfire s’mores and a dash of pepper. The finish is long, and a bit spicy which leaves a memorable aftertaste and leaves you wanting more.
