91 Points (Best Buy), Wine Enthusiast – 91 Points, James Suckling – 90 Points, Vinous
The wine was fantastic – a high-toned beauty with a super fruity and tropical nose that leads to citrus and stone fruit, amazing natural acidity, and even a streak of minerality that dazzles the palate.
Their 2022 ‘Les Vignes Silex’ Sancerre is a fantastic bottle of Sancerre and comes way less than anything you’re going to see with ‘Silex on the label. For those of you who don’t know silex soil, it’s a unique flinty clay soil that’s cut with limestone, which absolutely sings with Sauvignon Blanc. It imparts distinctive mineral qualities to the grapes, resulting in wines that are vibrant, complex, and incredibly expressive.
95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck – 94 Points, Vinous
The 2005 Château Barde-Haut Saint-Emilion is the one you want. They totally outdid themselves in this vintage and I’d say that without the 95 and 94-point reviews. It’s just a gorgeous wine at an incredible price that over delivers every step of the way. Think black fruits, hints of spice, and an elegant structure that’s singing right now. It’s no wonder this wine is sought after by collectors.
This delightful Red Burg is not only delicious but also comes at an exceptional price, priced under $20 per bottle – something you don’t find very often in Burgundy anymore. It’s a total steal for a Kermit Lynch wine, the famous importer known for finding wines outstanding quality and character. It’s fruity, it’s fun and it’s so easy to drink. This is one of those wines best served slightly chilled. It’s a go-to spring/summer red.
